Bradley's Furniture Ltd is Westport's only furniture and bedding store. The current owners of the business and the building have served the Buller district from the Palmerston St business for 27 years. The store has a BedsRus franchise which is one of New Zealand's largest retail success stories. Beds are sourced from Sleepyhead's Christchurch factory which means easy access and prompt deliveries. Dedicated support in advertising , marketing and pricing comes from the BedsRus central office making this an easy to run, good margin department of the furniture store. Bradley's Furniture has won the national Store of the Year title in 2018 and 2022 for store within a store category. Lounge furniture, dining suites, bedroom and occasional furniture make up the rest of the furniture department. Lounge suites over recent years have been mainly source through importing suppliers while the wooden furniture comes from imported and New Zealand made supplies. Company reps are always very willing to assist in providing information on new stock selections and despite the relative isolation of the district have always given the Bradleys very good deals to allow for very competitive pricing. To compliment the bedding lines the store carries top of bed products- pillows, protectors, inners, and sheets. Floor rugs, cushions and throws compliment the other furniture lines giving the customer the complete home furnishing range. Window treatment products are offered with Windoware providing the blinds and tracks and Basford Brands supplying readymade drapes. Windoware's online ordering system is very efficient. The store deals in tradein furniture. This helps to achieve initial sales on new products and creates much interest for customers not looking or unable to buy new. The store has 500 m2 of retail space with some additional storage on site. There is also a site rented to store beds and furniture off site. The business along with the business premises is offered for sale. Price is $306,000 + SAV + GST
